But F2 got him the chance to direct Mahesh Babu and he delivered Sarileru Neekevvaru. The director likes to package his films with all Telugu masala commercial potboiler elements like item song, special appearances, comedy and fights.
He managed to create a name for himself in delivering comedy entertainers. In each of his previous films, he had one special song apperance. Supreme had Pataas heroine, Shruthi Sodhi, in an item song. Raja The Great had Raashi Khanna in an item song.
In F2, Anasuya Bharadwaj appeared in a special song and Sarileru Neekevvaru had Tamannaah in a special song. In F3, he took it all a notch up.
Tamannaah will have a special song in Gent getup and have scenes as well in the same get up. Now, we hear that Pooja Hegde will perform in another special song too.
The originally planned group song with entire cast could become a promotional song while this new addition is like Samantha's addition to Pushpa. Looks like Anil Ravipudi is going for everything in his hand to secure double hattrick as a director that only Rajamouli managed in the last two decades in Telugu Cinema.
