Hanu Raghavapudi is a director who is known for his separate brand of films. He doesn't follow the commercial format and makes poetic love stories that earn a place in people's hearts irrespective of their box-office results. He worked as an assistant director of Chandrasekhar Yeleti and much like his teacher, Hanu also trusts his stories and does not think too much about other things.
The major complaint on him is that Hanu suffers from a second half syndrome. Many feel that his films have interesting stories which are well executed in the first half but something goes wrong in the latter half and it ends up spoiling the movie. 'LIE' and 'Padi Padi Leche Manasu' are the biggest examples. This created a negative opinion about the director and even the people in film industry started talking about it.
Speaking about this Hanu Raghavapudi said that people spread this opinion a lot about him before 'Sita Ramam' and he knows who did that. He added, "I myself revealed the opinion everyone had on me during the pre-release event of 'Sita Ramam'. There is a talk that I tell a good story but doesn't make it. I don't know where it came from and there were some people who said that they shouldn't trust me. Is it about my story writing or my direction? Even now I don't know why they said that? I know who talked about me like that and I will definitely ask about it when I meet them next time."
Hanu revealed that he is getting a lot of offers from Bollywood but he wants to make only Telugu films and showed confidence that his next movies are going to be better than 'Sita Ramam'.
