Why IIM Took Up Baahubali 2 Case Study?

IIM Ahmedabad is ranked the best Management institute in India and when they took up a 'case study' on SS Rajamouli directorial 'Baahubali 2', fans were delighted with the development.  But it is interesting to see why they took up a case study on 'Baahubali 2'? What is the main reason behind it?

Some of the netizens are of the opinion that it is a superior to any other film and that's the reason why they conducting a 'case study'.  But the actual reason is something different.  It is a marketing case study which primarily focuses on the techniques followed by 'Baahubali' team to get huge attention for the film thereby generating earth-shattering collections at the box office. It explains the management graduates 'the power of a sequel'.  

The concept is that the investment on a film will be at lower risk when the makers build a brand around the film and effectively market it.  There is a research from Stanford University reveals that a prequel is always considered better than the sequel but a sequel makes more money.  This will be possible if the makers adopt effective marketing techniques just like 'Baahubali 2' makers did.
