IndiGo Bans Nine Journalists After Kangana Flight Row

Update: 2020-10-26 10:03 GMT
India's largest airline IndiGo has banned nine media persons from flying for 15 days for their alleged unruly behaviour while they were on the same flight in which Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut.

On September 9, IndiGo flight no. 6E-264 from Chandigarh-Mumbai with Kangana as a passenger witnessed a violation of safety protocols and social distancing by television journalists.

Following this, India's aviation regulator Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) had asked IndiGo to take appropriate action against unruly behaviour of passengers. DGCA issued punitive measures for airlines to ensure the 'no in-flight photography' rules are followed.
