Lack Of Hype Hurting Maharshi

Update: 2019-04-20 05:50 GMT
Makers of 'Maharshi' kickstarted the promotions with the launch of Teaser, Singles and Promo Song. A conscious attempt was made to build the buzz by offering a new update on daily basis. Unfortunately, Content shown till date wasn't able to either thrill the movie buffs or generate tremendous positive buzz. Especially, 'Everest Anchuna' Promo Song is disappointing to say the least and Mahesh's landmark flick deserves much better output.

As much as Rs 110 crore were invested on 'Maharshi'. Makers were able to obtain a table profit of not less than Rs 20 crore prior to the release with the sale of Theatrical, Satellite, Digital and Hindi Dubbing Rights for anywhere around Rs 130 crore. Theatrical Business itself is close to Rs 100 crore-mark. In few territories like Overseas, Distribution Rights fetched low prices than expected due to lack of hype.

Recovery of investment gets difficult if Makers don't come up with some mind-blowing stuff prior to the release. Openings matter the most, especially if it's a biggie. Theatrical Trailer, Pre-Release Event and other kinds of promotions in the next couple of weeks will decide the fate of #Mahesh25. Let's only wish 'Maharshi' will remain as a memorable film in the career of Superstar!
