Update: 2017-06-05 10:10 GMT
Telugu director Krish found success in other languages too. He took his Vedam remake in Tamil and remade Ramana/Tagore as Gabbar is Back in Hindi. After his historical Gautamiputra Satakarni in Telugu, he got an interesting offer from Kangana Ranaut to make biopic on Jhansi Lakshmi Bai.

He took over the project titled it as Manikarnika and brought in Telugu writer, K.Vijayendra Prasad who wrote Baahubali to improve on the screenplay. During the movie's inauguration in Varanasi many thought the movie will be made in three languages, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil. Even posters have been released. But with Kangana Ranaut being subjected to many controversies, the director decided to take over the project completely.

And the producers decided to make the movie only in Hindi. They will dub the movie in Telugu and Tamil. Also, Kangana who was credited with co-director and writer titles, will now just be an actor in the project. As Ketan Mehta filed a case against the team accusing them of creativity theft, the producers decided to impose these changes. The movie pre-visualisation is going on and in July, the makers are planning to go on sets. The movie shoot will be done in RFC at specially built sets and also real locations in Varanasi, Madhya Pradesh. So, we will be left watching a dubbed film directed by a Telugu director in Summer, 2018!
