Mega References Going A Bit Too Far This Time!

Update: 2022-09-03 08:44 GMT
Heroes who come from a big family background will have good backing from the already established fanbase. The younger heroes often make references of other big heroes in the family in order to win the hearts of fans. Jr NTR used to bring up the names of Sr NTR and Balakrishna a lot of times in his movies previously. After a certain point, he stopped using those references.

We all know how Pawan Kalyan used Megastar references in movies like 'Attarintiki Daredi', 'Bangaram', 'Khushi' and others. Charan and Sai Dharam Tej remade a lot of Chiranjeevi's songs and tried to imitate his mannerisms on the big screen. As we know, young Mega hero Vaisshnav Tej's third film 'Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga' released this weekend and is heading towards a failure status.

This is his second failure after 'Kondapolam'. But the Mega hero used a lot of Chiranjeevi references in 'Ranga Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga'. He is often seen humming Megastar's songs in the film and he sings 'Navvindi Malle Chendu' song from 'Abhilaasha' in front of the heroine too. Also, Pawan's 'Attarintiki Daredi' is seen playing in the bus in which Vaisshnav and Ketika were traveling during a scene. While all these are done to satisfy the Mega fans, the attempts did not work out. After giving a good performance in 'Uppena', people are questioning about why Vaisshnav is using his family's name unnecessarily without showcasing his acting capabilities.

Directed by Gireesaaya who helmed 'Arjun Reddy' Tamil remake in the past, this romantic entertainer is bankrolled by BVSN Prasad under his 'Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra' banner. Shamdat Sainudeen who worked on 'Uppena' is the cinematographer for 'Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga' too. Rockstar Devi Sri Prasad gave the music.
