Finally, 'Padmavati' got cleared from censor issues after agreeing to the changes suggested by the censor officials and changing the title to 'Padmavat'. The makers have announced that they are releasing the film on January 25. But still, it is doubtful whether the movie will actually hit the screens on 25th or not.
Even though censor board raised several objections and cleared it by suggesting changes, Karni Sena group is not in a mood allow the smooth release of the film. They are saying that they will not allow the movie to run and burn the theaters where the movie is screened. These warnings have put director Sanjay Leela Bhansali & his team into a tight spot again.
In fact, everybody was shocked when they watched 'Padmavati' trailer. Everybody felt that the movie will be a visual wonder for sure. The movie immediately got the hype. If the movie was released then, the situation would have been different. But the movie landed into censor trouble and they suggested several cuts. Even audience were disappointed with it as the issue continued for a long time.
The makers have to strongly promote the film if they want to raise the interest and hype now. They have to release new promos. But They can't do it in the present situation. If they come up with new promos it appears as if they are provocating the protesters. So, the makers have to release the film without any hungama. It will surely have an impact on the opening collections without strong promotions. We have to wait and see how Bhansali team is going to deal with this typical situation.
