Within days after the shoot began, Rajinikanth had fallen sick and Doctors advised him 6 months rest. At one stage, The Actor had informed Shankar that he can't shoot and offered to walkout of the project by compensating the money invested by the Producer until then. Shankar had offered to resume the shoot only after Rajini recovered completely. He just asked Superstar to be on the sets, show his face and leave the rest to him. That is when Rajini got ready to join the shoot.
