BJP President Amit Shah received backlash for describing Mahatma Gandhi as a 'Chatur Baniya' (clever trader/businessman) at a recent meeting in Raipur.
Rajmohan Gandhi (Gandhi's Grandson) came down heavily on Amit Shah saying the man who overcame British Lion and Snakes of Communal Poison in India was more than a Chatur Baniya. He went to say, Gandhi would aim to defeat the forces who ruins the lives of innocent people unlike men like Amit Shah.
Mr.Gandhi is currently in the United States. He is a research professor and biographer at University of Illinois.
Gopalkrishna Gandhi, another Grandson of Mahatma, opined Amit Shah's 'Chatur Baniya' remark is distasteful.
Opposition Parties demanded an apology from Amit Shah for making such a statement. Will the BJP Chief succumb to any such pressures?
