From March 31st, the Telugu Film Industry is going to shut all of its operations to start a serious protest against the Digital Service Providers over their Monopoly. As per the reports, Ram Charan's Rangasthalam which is slated to get released in March might suffer losses because of this protest.

Star Producer Suresh Babu has made some serious comments on this issue and claimed that the protest may last for a while as there would be a counter protests by DSPs which might lead to the hike in maintainance costs.

The statement from Telugu Film Producers Council stated "To bring to the notice of DSPs of our pains in release of the films, and overcome this problems, all the members, presented in an emergency meeting held on 8 Dec, 2017 at 3.00 pm in the Film Chamber, has unanimously resolved to close all the theatres and stop all releases from 1st March, 2018,"

The first movie that is much-likely to suffer is Sukumar's venture Rangasthalam. Reports claim that even the issue is subsided by the end of March, Mahanati movie might also get affected. The entire film schedules may be subjected to a big change as the movie that are going to be released at that time will be postponed.

On the other hand, so many movies are slated to get released in April such as Bharath Anu Nenu, Naa Peru Surya, 2.O etc. If Rangasthalam is postponed till April then the April releases will be the ones to suffer. The makers of Rangasthalam are yet to make a decision on it.
