Soon after Centre approved ordinance permitting Jallikattu, Ram Gopal Varma took to Twitter to express his anguish on the double standards of the rulers. He pointed that Govt allows harassment of bulls for cultural entertainment but restricts filmmakers even to show a crow or dog. He termed Jallikattu as barbarious as the bulls were poked with knives, tortured with nose ropes, ears/horns cut and tail boned dislocated.

RGV opined innocent animals can't be tortured in the name of culture. He dared to say it reflects the tribalish/feudal culture of Jayalalithaa and Sasikala. He told people supporting Jallikattu should be made to run with 1000s of bulls chasing them. He even added, Ears of those people should be pulled and their backs must be hugged by 100s to know the feelings of poor animals. Being barbarians, They are fighting for their right to torture defense less animals.

The Filmmaker dared to say that torturing innocent animals is worse than terrorism. He feels Jallikattu supporters don't even know the spelling of culture and they are just human shaped vultures craving for blood. He went on to say fight for Jallikattu reflect the true culture of Tamilians.

Ram Gopal Varma accused Celebs of supporting Jallikattu for tickets and votes. He further added, No celeb would have dared to do so if animals have the power to vote and buy tickets.
