After a lot of postponements, Mega Prince Varun Tej's 'Ghani' is finally arriving in theatres this Friday. We will get to see Varun on the screen after 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' from 8th April in 'Ghani' which is an emotional sports drama directed by debutant Kiran Korrapati. This is his 10th film and there are very good expectations on this film.
The three songs which came out till date got a very good response and the trailer raised the expectations high. The makers have organized a pre-release event in Vizag and organized another meeting in Hyderabad too. People are quite excited to see this film and Varun is going through a purple patch right now.
Due to this, 'Ghani' did a wonderful pre-release business. Keeping the satellite, digital and audio rights aside, the film did a very theatrical business. The film was sold for 8 crores in the Nizam area and it went for 3.5 crores in the Ceeded region. The complete Andhra region went for 9.5 crores. On the whole, the theatrical rights for the Telugu states went for 21 crores approximately. Apparently, the overseas rights were sold for 1.8 crores while the rest of India fetched 2.5 crores. Varun Tej's 'Ghani' has to earn more than 25.3 crores from the theatre collections in order to enter the safe zone.
The film has one week time as 'KGF - 2' arrives on 14th April. With 'RRR' still doing well the box office, we need to see if the film achieves the required mark or not.
