The Sankranti season has been a lucky period for Nandamuri Balakrishna for his films. Proving this yet again, Balakrishna's recent outing Veera Simha Reddy became a big hit and roared high at the box office. The mass entertainer saw good collections in Telugu states and overseas as well.

Gopichand Malineni directed the mass entertainer. To celebrate the success of the film a success event was held recently. Addressing the gathering, Nandmuri Balakrishna gave a good speech. However, his speech landed in a big controversy. Balakrishna's comments on ANR and SV Ranga Rao raised many eyeballs.

Akkineni heroes Akhil, and Naga Chaitanya indirectly condemned it. Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Roja condemned the comments and asked Balakrishna how it would feel if someone talks ill about his father NTR. Kapu Nadu members also warned Nandamuri Balakrishna to issue an apology for his objectionable comments.

The issue took a big turn with the family members of SV Ranga Rao reacting. His grandsons reacted to this and said that they see no controversy in this and urged everyone to drag the issue further as they can't see any disrespectful tone.

Talking about the comments Balakrishna made at the event, the family of SV Ranga Rao said that he was talking about a conversation he had with someone there is no controversy in this. "He was only referring to some private conversation he had with someone he knows. We see no disrespectful tone in his remarks," they said.

They went on to say that they share a good bonding with the Nandamuri family and unnecessarily dragging the matter would hinder the relationship and requested everyone to not drag the issue further.

After the controversy happened, Nandamuri Balakrishna supported him saying that the hero made the comments as he had a good bonding with ANR and SV Ranga Rao, and his comments were taken out of proportion on purpose.

Amid this, SV Ranga Rao's family said that they see no controversy in the comments made by Nandamuri Balakrishna and urged everyone to drag the issue further. It appears that they want to put an end to the much-talked-about controversy in Telugu states.
