A Trend Of A Trend For A Trend!

Promotions are all about creating buzz for any product. Be it films, soaps or even pens and pencils. We have to create a buzz that looks trendy and generic for people to buy the products in bulk.

This is like creating a trend in doing something. You do something that is successful and everyone follows you and you become a trend.

For being such trend, our film promoters are trying to create trends on social media and that has become the latest trend.

That means a trend of a trend for a trend! Now, if you take the promotions of Rangasthalam and Naa Peru Surya, Bharath Ane Nenu, the producers are releasing a press note that a pre-look poster will come out.

And during the release of pre-look, they hype up the first look and then pre-teaser, teaser, pre-teaser of a trailer, pre-trailer glimpse and then, theatrical trailer with song promos follow.

Why are they going this? They are trying to keep the buzz going on social media by letting fans spread the trends with hashtags by saying we will release pre-look on this day and releasing pre-look of a pre-look.

Post that on the day pre-look you will again trend on social media and then you release, first look. It is done, you are already famous on social media and the buzz is created for your movie.

But this plan as become over promotions for even teasers and first looks. If there is something unique, these kind of promotions will shine but otherwise they end up creating monstrous expectations and disappoint fans!
