To help India Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli starts fundraiser,urges fans to donate

With a noble cause to lend a helping hand to India that is fighting the deadly Covid crisis, power couple Anushka Sharma and Indian national team skipper Virat Kohli initiated a fundraiser.

The couple donated Rs 2 crore to the project and they are hoping that they could raise Rs 7 crore to help the country in the tough time.

Taking to Twitter, the couple shared a video, in which they said, they started the campaign, #InThisTogether, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief. The funds raised in the campaign will be directed to 'ACT (Action Covid-19 team) Grants.

"As our country battles the second wave of Covid-19, and our healthcare systems are facing extreme challenges, it breaks my heart to see our people suffering. So, Virat and I have initiated a campaign #InThisTogether, with Ketto, to raise funds for Covid-19 relief." Anushka Sharma wrote on Twitter.

"This is our chance to help. To support. To extend ourselves and do our bit. So, let’s do everything we can. We are #InThisTogether," the PK actress said in another tweet.

The fundraiser will be active for seven days and the amount raised through the initiative will be sent to ACT Grants, which is dealing with the supply of oxygen, medical supplies, and other facilities.
