Tuck Jagadish Makers Clarify on OTT Rumors

Update: 2021-07-22 11:41 GMT
Cinema halls across Andhra Pradesh are expected to resume operations only after the state government sorts out the ticket pricing slab issue. Exhibitors have already made it clear that they can’t operate with the abnormally low pricing system suggested by the government. The makers of Telugu biggies are now holding back on the release date as they wish to officially announce the dates only after the issue is sorted out amicably.

Coming to the topic, the makers of Nani’s upcoming outing, Tuck Jagadish have come up with an affirmative update on the project. They have clarified on the prevalent OTT rumors surrounding the Nani starrer. The makers of Tuck Jagadish have confirmed that the film will indeed release only in theaters. They have thrashed the OTT release rumors, saying releasing the film on OTT is not even an option for them. They are persistent on theatrics release even if it means that they have to wait for a few more weeks.

It is heard that a few top OTT platforms did approach the makers of Tuck Jagadish and asked if they would be interested in releasing the film on OTT. But the makers did not even contemplate the option and bluntly rejected any advancements in this regard. They are confident that the film will have a fruitful run at the box office if it releases in theaters.

Also, Nani is firmly against the prospect of OTT release. The last time his film released directly on OTT was later last year when ‘V’ premiered on Amazon Prime Video. The film garnered a poor reception from the digital audiences. He does not wait to take the risk of releasing his film on OTT again. He has asked the makers to wait for better conditions to emerge in order to release the film in theaters.

Tuck Jagadish is a wholesome family drama, a genre that is largely profitable at the ticket counters if released during a festival season. The makers of Tuck Jagadish are aware of the same and they are planning accordingly. The new release date will be announced sooner than later.
