Thanks to Tollywood super hit films like 'Baabubali', 'Bharat Ane Nenu', 'Geetha Govindam' which also made huge collections in other states, increased the demand for Telugu movie in Chennai as well.

With the same encouragement, the makers of Varun Tej's recent release 'Antariksham' quoted 45 lakhs for the Telugu rights of the movie in Chennai. But as no distributor came forward to invest that much amount, the producers opted for an own release. But the movie opened with a disastrous collection and negative response. Even the opening day collections are extremely low. The trade analysts have declared that the movie is going to end up as a disaster in Chennai and the producers won't be able to recover the amount. Touted to be a space thriller under the direction of 'Ghazi' fame Sankalp Reddy, the film garnered positive pre-release buzz.

However, the movie opened with a mixed response in the Telugu States as well and failed to reach the expectations of the audience. Aditi Rao Hydari and the Lavanya Tripathi played the female leads in the movie.
