Update: 2023-05-04 17:15 GMT
Talented director Venkat Prabhu is known for his different concepts. He made movies like 'Chennai Boys', 'Saroja' and became big name when Ajith's 'Gambler' became a blockbuster. He went onto make movies like 'Biryani' and 'Rakshasudu' but it was 'Maanandu' with Simbu that showed his capability once again. His storytelling in this time loop drama stunned everyone.

He is now ready to arrive with 'Custody' which is coming out this month. Two songs and a teaser has been released already and the team has recently had an interaction with the Telugu media. He recently made some bold comments on why Tamil movies are not creating the same impact as pan-Indian Telugu movies. He said, "I think the Tamil industry is still making films only for the Tamil audience. And only certain films they think, Ponniyin Selvan 1….I don't really know. I think Vijay's Leo should break the barrier and make that impact in all languages as it has actors from other industries as well. But, yes, we are not as lucky as Telugu films and directors. But we will also get there slowly."

Coming back to 'Custody', Naga Chaitanya and Krithi Shetty are the lead actors in this movie. Srinivasaa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen is bankrolling the film while Abburi Ravi has penned dialogues. The legendary father-son duo of Maestro, Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja, and little Maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja are going to score tunes for the film and Pavan Kumar will be presenting this ambitious project. SR Kathir is the cinematographer while Sarath Kumar and Priyamani are playing key roles. Aravind Swamy will be seen in an important role in this movie.
