Balakrishna & Krish make an odd combo. At least, This is what people believed prior to the release of 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' First Look Teaser. Even SS Rajamouli had the same feeling when he came to know about their joint venture. Krish, however, proved everyone wrong by scoring a blockbuster. Jakkanna gracefully admits his mistake during his interview session with Krish as part of 'GPSK' Promotions.
Rajamouli wondered how was Krish able to deliver an epic in just 79 days. In reply, Krish asked him to first reveal, 'Why Kattappa killed Baahubali?'.
Meticulous Planning & Budget Constraints were the reason behind wrapping up the shoot of 'Gautamiputra Satakarni' in such a short span. The project was divided into four parts - One War each in Morocco, Georgia and Hyderabad. Talkie Portions and Songs were shot in Hyderabad, Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh. There were times Krish worked for close to 18 hours and Balayya remained on the horse for 12 hours a day. Taking the advise of Rajamouli, Krish preferred to shoot in real locations and live action instead of reply on Visual Effects. This strategy worked wonders for him.
