Will Akhil Team Up With His Dad's Hit Director?

Update: 2021-06-30 12:07 GMT
Akkineni young lad Akhil is desperately in need of a hit. It has been nearly six years since his debut and he tried to impress the audience with three outings namely 'Akhil', 'Hello' and 'Mr Majnu'. But nothing turned out to be successful and Akhil's wait for hit got a lot longer due to the lockdown. He is awaiting the release of his upcoming film 'Most Eligible Bachelor' and it was supposed to hit the screens in the summer of last year.

It is a romantic comedy directed by 'Bommarillu' Baskar and dusky siren Pooja Hegde is the heroine in it. On the other hand, he is also working on Surender Reddy's stylish spy thriller 'Agent' which was announced a few months back. The latest talk in tinsel town suggests that Akhil accepted another new project under the production of renowned 'Mythri Movie Makers' banner.

Apparently, they gave him a huge chunk of money as an advance and locked his dates. If sources are to be believed, he will be directed by Sreenu Vaitla. As we know, Vaitla delivered a memorable film like 'King' with Akhil's dad Nagarjuna. But the commercial director is in a bad run of form and delivered successive disasters. Sreenu Vaitla is currently making 'D & D' with Manchu Vishnu and it is to be seen if he joins forces with Akhil in the coming days or not.
