August BO: Rains Inside Theatres, Outside Theatres

It’s full of rain this August as per the Weather Department updates. But as per the film producers, it’s full of rain this month inside Telugu theatres. As it happened in January, Feb and March, right now Tollywood is looking at a spate of direct and dubbed films that are hitting the box office in Telugu states. Here’s what August 2026 is like.

On August 7th, we have Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s DC, and Deekshit Shetty’s KJQ hitting the cinemas. The trailers of all these films are impressive, and we have to see who will be able to score a blockbuster.

Then comes August 14th, which precedes the Independence Day weekend; Suriya’s Viswanath & Sons is the major show stealer. On the same day, MS Raju’s Agadha and another conceptual film Palleburusu are also hitting cinemas. These films will be followed by two interesting dubbed Malayalam movies, Dulquer Salman’s I’m Game and Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Khalifa, which are hitting cinemas on August 20th. A day later on the 21st, Raviteja’s much-awaited Irumudi is releasing.

The biggest of the lot comes on August 26th, which happens to be Yash’s Toxic, which is already making movies. Thus, the whole month of August is super busy with movies, while rains are lashing various parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh already.
