S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali saga continues to create history even years after its first release. The two films have now been re-edited into one long version titled Baahubali The Epic, with a runtime of 3 hours and 45 minutes. This special cut is getting a grand release in theatres across the world and the response has already been amazing.

During its original release, the Baahubali franchise changed the face of Indian cinema. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion is still the highest-grossing Indian film in the United States. It earned an incredible USD 22 million earlier, and now the re-release is also showing strong results.

To promote the re-release, actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati along with director S.S. Rajamouli have been giving interviews and sharing memorable experiences from the shoot.

Rana talked about a funny situation in Kurnool while shooting a horse-riding scene. Fans surrounded the area, making it difficult for them to move. Rana said, “We were stuck in the crowd, so I stopped a random car and asked the boy inside if Prabhas, Rajamouli, and I could get in. The boy was shocked and could not believe what was happening!” The moment made the whole team laugh again as they remembered it.

According to early box office reports, the film has collected more than USD 284,000 around Rs 2.5 crore in the US on its premiere day alone. This amount was earned from nearly 150 shows, where close to 14,000 tickets were sold. The entire weekend numbers in the US have already crossed USD 400,000. With these collections, the film has set a new record by becoming the highest-grossing re-released Indian film even before completing its first weekend.
