Legendary Telugu actor Nandamuri Balakrishna has been honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the International Film Festival of Delhi 2026. This special recognition celebrates his remarkable journey of 50 years in the film industry and his strong contribution to Indian cinema.

The award ceremony took place at the well-known Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi. Many important guests from the film and cultural fields attended the event. Balakrishna received the award from Rekha Gupta, making the moment even more special.

Balakrishna has worked in films for five decades and is known for his powerful performances and dedication. Over the years, he has built a strong fan base and earned respect as one of the top actors in Telugu cinema. His recent film Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, also received great appreciation. The movie was screened at the festival and had earlier won the Best Telugu Film award at the 71st National Film Awards. During event, Balakrishna video was also played.

Speaking at the event, Balakrishna shared his happiness and gratitude. He said that his success is because of his parents’ blessings. He also spoke about his father N. T. Rama Rao and his efforts towards women’s empowerment. Balakrishna added that he will continue to follow his father’s ideals in both cinema and public life.

In addition to this honour, the Government of India had awarded him the Padma Bhushan in 2025. This further highlights his importance in the field of arts and cinema.
