Koratala Not Coming Down, Balayya Going Back?

One of the biggest course corrections that’s happening in Tollywood right now is the way some senior heroes are making sure that their films don’t cross the planned budgets. Also, some heroes are making sure that their plans are well within the budget, such that even if the film flops, the producer will not lose a single penny. However, some directors still do not understand that.

Recently, Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest movie #NBK112 was launched in Andhra, with Koratla Siva as the director. However, it is reported that the director is said to be giving a final budget of more than ₹150 crores for the film, but the senior star hero wants it to be wrapped up under ₹100 crores, so that his market will be steady.

After the Akhanda 2 debacle, it’s tough to sell OTT rights at higher prices, and the general market is also a bit volatile at the moment, with the offering price for digital rights at an all-time low. At this juncture, Balayya doesn’t want any cost-failure projects. However, Koratala Siva is said not to be coming down in terms of trimming the budgets, and that pushed the senior star to think about whether he has to go back on the idea of doing this movie.

Ever since Koratala delivered Acharya, and later came up with Devara, somehow things have not going smoothly for him.
