Thaman, as usual, spoke straight from the heart at the Akhanda 2 pre-release event. He couldn’t stop praising Nandamuri Balakrishna and sharing his excitement about the film and the music he’s creating.

He said, “When you see Balayya garu as Shiva on the big screen, in 70 MM, you’re going to raise your hands and just clap. Scoring music for Shiva? Feels like a blessing. I poured everything into Akhanda, and while working on Akhanda 2, it felt like going to a temple. Balayya garu and the team really pushed themselves for the climax fight in the cold of Georgia. And the producers, Ram and Gopi garu, backed me fully, even with the bigger budget. I owe them a lot, just like with Dookudu. That film gave me so much.”

Thaman also shared some fun tidbits. “The iron trident in the movie weighs over ten kilos. Can you imagine Balayya walking around with that? Not easy at all. I’m doing another films with him, plus one with Gopichand Malineni. I’m carrying all his fans in my heart, I promise. And yes, I warned theaters to check their speakers, this film is as loud as a temple aarti!”

Before Balayya, Chiranjeevi played Shiva in Sri Manjunatha in 2001, Akshay Kumar has played Shiva recently in Kannappa, and Ranbir Kapoor played a young Shiva with powers in Brahmastra. So all these heroes amazed with their acting as lord Shiva.
