As it has come out already that Akhanda 2’s hero and director, Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Sreenu, will be heading to the North to promote the film big time again, they have done it. While the film’s performance at the Telugu box office turns out to be dismal, here’s what the hero said today.

Along with director Boyapati Sreenu, senior star Balakrishna went to Varanasi today to perform a special puja at Varanasi before kickstarting the second wave of promotions up north. “Akhanda 2 has become a big success in the Telugu states. But that doesn’t mean this is a Telugu movie, this is an Indian film,” says Balakrishna, who is visibly elated while speaking to the media in Varanasi early today.

He further added that the film Akhanda 2 has one goal, and it made everyone who watched the film understand it. “Akhanda 2 underlines the need to safeguard the Sanatana Hindu Dharma, the greatness of our country, and the value of this land. Glad that the audience stood by our efforts and loved the film,” he accentuated.

Clarifying that they have met Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, and explained to him about the devotional film they have made, Balakrishna further expressed confidence that the North audience will also enjoy the film big time, and agree with the message. Released on December 12th, Akhanda 2 might benefit from the upcoming Christmas holidays big time.
