Balayya & Vivek Athreya: What’s Happening?

One of the most talked about combos in recent times is none other than Nandamuri Balakrishna’s new movie with a young director, Vivek Athreya. As the director recently released a mass film like Saripodha Sanivaram that clicked big time, many thought that his style of intellectual mass film with Balakrishna is likely to become a massive mass explosion at the box office. However, it looks like things are going south for this movie.

Apparently, Vivek Athreya is said to be waiting for another star to give dates, such that this Balakrishna starrer will take off soon. He has met and narrated the story to Mohan Lal but given the current body of work he’s busy with, the Malayalam star hasn’t given any dates, while the storyline impressed him. That said, some rumours have come out that Vivek is going to direct Raviteja’s film first, as the senior mass hero recently okayed his story as well. Some reports indicate that Vivek and Balakrishna’s film is almost shelved.

But then, other sources from Mythri Movie Makers have claimed that after Nandamuri Balakrishna wraps Gopichand Malineni’s movie, for which they are shooting under the scorching sun as well, the senior star will take up both Koratala Siva and Vivek Athreya’s films simultaneously. For it’s fingers crossed moment as there’s no clarity over which film will take off and which one will fall into the waiting list.
