Heroines doing women-centric films are rare, and most don’t do well at the box office. But new actress Bhagya Shree Borse is showing interest in such roles, surprising fans with her bold choice.

Bhagya Shree’s journey across industries hasn’t been easy. She debuted in Hindi with Yaariyan 2 in a cameo, then in Telugu with Mr. Bachchan and Kindom, and in Tamil with Kaantha. Most of these films flopped. Yet, she’s now aiming for heroine-oriented films, which has left fans impressed. Currently, she is promoting her upcoming Telugu film Andhra King Taluka.

Talking about the film and her experience in Telugu cinema, Bhagya Shree said, “Fanship is a magical feeling. Coming from the North, I was amazed to see how much love the audience here shows. They treat stars like gods. That affection is the base of every film. In this movie, I play Mahalakshmi, a village girl and college student who falls in love with Sagar, played by Ram. That’s all I can say about the story,” she laughed.

Bhagya Shree added, “I want to do justice to every role and make a name for myself as a unique actress. I dream of roles like the women-centric movie Arundhati. I feel lucky to be admired and loved by Telugu audiences in just two films.”

With the success of heroine-centric films like The Girlfriend starring Rashmika Mandanna, fans are hopeful that Bhagya Shree’s new venture will also do well. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Andhra King Taluka is set to release on the 27th of this month.
