With success comes a lot of responsibilities and also some issues, and right now it looks like “Dhurandhar” movie team is going through the same thing. At a time when their film crossed almost ₹1400 crores in collection across the global box office, the film’s production house is now on the verge of getting banned in Mumbai, when it comes to shooting in public places.
BMC, Brihanumbai Municipal Corporation, the local governing body of Mumbai city, blacklisted Aditya Dhar’s B62 studios for violating rules relating to obtaining permissions to shoot in the city. While the ‘blacklist’ proposal will be reviewed internally, the authorities are currently quite serious, they say. Reports are coming that for Dhurandhar 2, the makers have shot on the terrace of an abandoned building in Mumbai, without proper permissions. Also, they have used generators too, which are not allowed in that area of the city.
Whether political heavyweights interfere and support Aditya Dhar is not yet known, but now that the ruling BJP is heading the coalition government that’s ruling Mumbai’s BMC, the director-producer might not be in trouble. Dhurandhar 2 is scheduled to hit cinemas on March 19th.
