Leading producer, Dil Raju faced relentless action from the income tax department as the officials searched his properties for the last five days. After the operation finally came to an end today, Dil Raju spoke with Media and briefed about the series of events.
The Media specifically asked Dil Raju to comment on the search operations and he had a strong response.
“It has been 18 years since the income tax department, last search in my properties and it is happening again now. But the issue here is that the Media is projecting as if the department is searching only my properties. But in reality, they are searching even Mythri movie makers and Abhishek Agarwal.”
When the Media asked Raju about whether or not any black money was confiscated by the income tax department, he had a strong response. “ Whatever you are asking is based on your own speculation. It is not right to speculate on your own, and then ask me about it.”
About the reports on foreign investments and black money, Dil Raju said 90% of the ticket bookings these days are being done through online platforms, which means the revenue generated is purely white. He gave the implication that the rumours about black money and foreign investments are completely baseless.
Dil Raju, then delivered an update about his mother who was rushed to the hospital recently. “ She was experiencing elevated cough, symptoms, and uneasiness. She is 81 years old and is bound to have medical problems, and that is the reason why she was taken to the hospital. But if few media outlets speculated that she had a heart attack, which is not true.”
Dil Raju went on to add that even the income tax department officials were surprised about this operation. The officials said they were expecting something beyond comprehension while searching my properties, but they were surprised when they were witnessing straightforward operations from my end. It was a smooth experience for everyone.
