Dubbing With AI In Coming Days! What More?

Artificial Intelligence came into existence to make people's lives easier. But it is ending up creating problems for mankind and its livelihoods. A lot of tech and IT companies are resorting to mass layoffs all over the country. Now, it is creeping into the film industry too. Through AI, a lot of people are coming up with stories just by adding a few key notes. It is being used extensively in storyboarding and other technical aspects too.

We have recently seen the team of 'Keedaa Cola' recreating SPB's voice through AI and his son SP Charan filing a legal suit regarding this. Sources claim that it is arriving into the dubbing field as well. Without naming, there are a few films that are about to release and the makers used AI to dub for some characters.

There are small characters in movies which are present for a scene or two and only have a few dialogues. Finding dubbing artists for them and paying them is a problem for producers and they have resorted to Artificial Intelligence to dub for them. These are the things that the audience wouldn't notice at all if they were not informed.

While it is okay for now, things might become bad if AI becomes a regular thing in dubbing for important characters too. All it needs to do is catch the voice frequency and it can generate the required emotions quite easily. If this spreads to creating music, background scores and other departments, there is going to be a serious issue in the film industry. Let us see where it leads.
