Epic’s Priyasakhi: A Lilting Melody That Clicks

The film “Epic,” which is emerging as the right sequel to the superhit web series #90s, continues to impress with its songs. Especially with the talented composer like Hesham Abdul Wahab, who has delivered chartbuster albums like Hai Nanna earlier, is now impressing with his string of songs scored for this Ananda Devarakonda and Vaishnavi Chaitanya starrer, directed by Aditya Haasan.

The new song “Priya Sakhi,” which could be seen as a montage song between the lead pair as they traverse the picturesque locales of London, UK, surely hits the right chord with music enthusiasts. Rendered in the melodic voice of KS Harisankar, the song has an instant love-feel that very apt lyrics that taken on the tinsel town at a time when mass beats and high-energy songs are ruling the roost. Surely this lilting melody is here to stay and might give more love goals for the young couples who are deeply in love already.

Bankrolled by Naga Vamsi of Sithara Entertainment, Epic: First Semester, is yet to lock the date, though the makers confirmed that the film will arrive in Jully 2026. After looking at the success of films like Peddi, an then Sithara’s very own production, Akhil’s Lenin, which is hitting cinemas toward the end of June, the production house might lock the right date for the movie.

Well, until the release date gets locked, there are good two months for the film to make the buzz, and the music should do epic justice for this “Epic”.
