Telugu Audiences Not Happy With Jailer 2 In THIS Aspect

Rajinikanth's Jailer 2 is one of the biggest blockbusters in recent times. Directed by Nelson, the film is performing well even in the Telugu states. Naga Vamsi Suryadevara of Sithara Entertainments bagged the film's rights for the Telugu states, and it has proven successful. However, despite the film's strong run in the Telugu states, audiences are disappointed that the cameos leave no room for a Telugu star.

It is well known that the team approached Nandamuri Balakrishna for an interesting cameo in the film. After discussions, for some reason, it didn't work out, and Balakrishna wasn't part of the film. The film had cameos by Shivaraj Kumar from Kannada films, Jackie Shroff from Hindi, Mohanlal from Malayalam, and additionally, Hrithik Roshan too.

A star cameo from Telugu is clearly missing, and Nelson initially penned a separate track for the same. However, when Balayya turned down the offer, Nelson went ahead to get others on board. Had Balayya been part of the film, it would have generated more box-office revenue.

As per the trade experts, the film collected close to 40 Cr gross already and would need another 40 Cr gross for the film to become a hit. Having said that, Balayya's presence would have added more money to the openings. Since Nelson confirmed that the third part is bound to happen, we have to see if there will be a place for Balayya's cameo in the third installment of the Jailer franchise.
