His next film was 'Bhajrangi Bhaijaan' and this film turned out to be Bollywood's biggest hit in 2015. It was one of the most beautiful films made in Bollywood. Salman Khan and Kabir Khan united for a third time in 'Tubelight'. The movie arrived with a lot of hype but people were not ready to see mass hero Salman in such a role. The movie ended up being a disaster.
He made 'Phantom' with Saif Ali Khan in the middle and it was a decent hit. He wrote and directed 'The Forgotten Army' web series for Prime Video. The 5-episode series got critical acclaim but was not highly successful. He took a lot of time and made '83'. It showcased the historic victory of India in the 1983 World Cup. Ranveer Singh played Kapil Dev's role. It was praised a lot but the movie ended up as a huge cost failure.
Now, he is arriving with another biopic titled 'Chandu Champion'. It is the story of Murlikant Petkar who is India's first Paralympic gold medallist. Karthik Aryan played the lead role and he spent a lot of effort on the film. Kabir Khan is one of the most loved Bollywood directors but he is unable to get commercial success. Let us wait and see if he gets good money through 'Chandu Champion' or not.
