555+ Across The Globe & Still Counting For 'Kalki 2898 AD'!

The much-awaited 'Kalki 2898 AD' arrived in theatres on 27th June with humongous expectations. The movie featuring Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan performed significantly well in its four-day long first weekend. The talk has been positive since the start and it helped in breaking many box office records and winning a lot of accolades.

Nag Ashwin is getting huge praise for his tremendous vision and Vyjayanthi Movies should be lauded for their audacity to bankroll such a massive project. Celebrities from all over the country are giving shoutouts and fans are loving every bit of it. The first weekend is done and the collections were nothing short of fantastic. The movie saw a huge growth in many territories on the fourth day (Sunday). The collections were nearly double to day three numbers in many territories.

The return from the North belt on Sunday is huge. It got 140 crores on Sunday alone. On the whole, the movie grossed 555+ crores in the first weekend. The collections from the North region is amazing as well. The Hindi version got 115+ crores making it an all-time second-highest grosser for four days. The movie surpassed $11 Million in North America, and it's the highest grosser in the region.

Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Ashwattama while Prabhas will be seen as Bhairava. Since it is connected to Indian mythology, the war episodes stand out. Disha Patani is the heroine named 'Roxie' while Deepika plays the role of Sumathi. Rajamouli was seen doing a cameo as well. Actors like Vijay Deverakonda and Dulquer Salmaan in special roles. Ashwini Dutt is the producer while Santosh Narayanan is the music composer.
