Universal hero Kamal Haasan faced a huge disaster in the form of 'Indian 2' recently. For the first time in his career, he was trolled for his looks in the movie. The criticism has been there since it was released but it increased a lot after the video songs came out.

Movies like 'Viswaroopam 2' and 'Uttama Villain' too were disasters but social media was not as brutal as it is now. It is once again proved that even legendary actors need decent scripts to score success. Rajnikanth proved it with 'Laal Salaam' and Kamal made it clear with 'Indian 2'. Now, he is working on 'Thug Life' which is being made by Mani Ratnam.

Movie lovers are eager to see how this film turns out to be. Sources say that the makers are planning to release this film during the Sankranti 2025 season. Fans are reportedly not happy with this decision and even the buyers are not suggesting their arrival during the Pongal time.

Already, movies like Chiranjeevi's 'Vishwambhara', Anil Ravipudi and Venkatesh's film, Ravi Teja's flick and others have announced their arrival during that period. Even Ajith's 'Good Bad Ugly' is in the race. Allotting theatres for all these films is going to be a huge task and many say that it will be Kamal's 'Thug Life' which will have the risk of getting jammed among other releases.

Knowing Kamal's craze, he might get a good release in Tamil Nadu despite the competition with Ajith but things are not going to be easy in the Telugu states. We have seen Dhanush and Siva Karthikeyan postponing the releases of their dubbed versions during the Sankranti time because there was no vacancy. 'Thug Life' needs a better release date according to many and we need to see what happens. 'Indian 3' is expected to arrive during the summer of 2025.
