Gnanavel Raja Reveals The Truth About Telugu Audience!
We often see fan wars all over social media. People fight over which hero is the best and which film industry is the best
We often see fan wars all over social media. People fight over which hero is the best and which film industry is the best. But the Telugu audience get together whenever there is a good movie in theatres. Every hero fan watches all the movies. They are movie lovers first and then hero's fans next. Also, Telugu audience are the rare kind who own heroes from other film industry and give huge collections.
Despite the other film industry folks and audiences embrace our heroes in the same way or not, we are always the first ones to show love to good content. Tamil producer KE Gnanavel Raja pointed out the same in a recent interview with Bharadwaj Rangan. He says that the Tamil audience and industry people differentiate between their heroes and our heroes but it does not happen in Telugu states.
He said that Telugu movie lovers and media call Tamil actors as our Vijay, our Ajith, our Surya, our Karthi and our Vikram. He mentioned veterans like Rajnikanth and Kamal Haasan too. It is true as Rajnikanth's films get huge collections in the Telugu states. Suriya is considered as an adopted son of Telugu people. His movies become hit in Telugu states and make big money irrespective of the result in Tamil Nadu.
We even encourage Malayalam films. Films like 'Premalu' and 'Manjummel Boys' made a lot of money in the Telugu states even though the audience had never seen the lead actors before. This is the importance we give to good content. Also, there are fan associations for Tamil heroes in Telugu and their following is huge. It is only the Telugu audience who give all their love without expecting anything. Don't you agree with it?
