Korean Kanakaraju Vs #DC: What's Happening?

The other day, two films hit cinemas with lots of expectations at the Telugu box office, and they are none other than Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju and Lokesh Kanagaraj’s #DC. While Korean Kanakaraju’s collections are a bit high in Telugu states, #DC is doing well in Tamil Nadu. But here’s why the major difference in collections are happening.
In fact, Korean Kanakaraju is stunningly promoted by Varun Tej and Co, and that’s the reason the film is said to have grossed more than ₹6.5+ crores in India alone. If we include the Overseas territories, the film is likely to have clocked ₹10+ crores on Day 1. When it comes to #DC , if the makers have promoted the film big time, surely it would have clocked well, but despite the superhit talk, the film managed only ₹5.5+ crores from the worldwide box office the other day.
Though reasons are not known, Lokesh and Co haven’t even promoted the movie in Telugu states. However, word of mouth is spreading, and the likes of Hyderabad and Vizag are registering good collections for the movie, with many shows getting housefuls here.
While Korean Kanakaraju is full of comedy, #DC is a raw and gritty revenge drama.
