Megastar Becoming More Careful Nowadays!
The film was in production for a long time and it turned out to be a huge flop when it was released.
Megastar Chiranjeevi gave a stellar comeback with 'Khaidi No 150'. Even though it was a remake, people wanted to see Chiru back on screen and nothing else mattered. His 'Sye Raa' too did a decent business but things started to go South ways ever since he began 'Acharya'. The film was in production for a long time and it turned out to be a huge flop when it was released.
After that, he delivered 'Godfather' which was a failure as well. It was a remake of 'Lucifer' and he followed it up with a big hit like 'Waltair Veerayya'. It is a complete mass entertainer. He followed it up with 'Vedhalam' remake named 'Bholaa Shankar'. It was a disaster that hurt many a lot of Mega fans. He faced a lot of criticism due to his script selection and there were trolls on him for not playing roles that suit his age.
Due to all this, he decided to make only straight movies from now on. He kept Kalyan Krishna's project on hold for now and announced Vashishta's movie under the UV Creations banner. Insiders say that Kalyan Krishna's project may not happen anytime soon and Vashishta's film is going to be a fantasy drama with heavy use of CGI. The shooting will start in December.
There are reports arriving that he is in talks with Anil Ravipudi who recently gave a super hit to Balakrishna in the form of 'Bhagavanth Kesari'. He was praised for showing Balayya in a very mature manner. The movie is still in the talks stage and it may not be a while before it goes on to the floors. Looks like Megastar has slowed down and is picking up scripts more carefully lately.
