Nagarjuna Acquiring Theatres 3 Months Prior

Nagarjuna Akkineni has upped the pace regarding his landmark film, and out of the blue, he recently released the title glimpse of the movie. While “King 100” glimpse has impressed so far, many are wondering if that is the finalised title or they will come up with some other title for the movie. But then, Nagarjuna is preparing the ground for the release of the film already in a big way.

While King100 is hitting cinemas on Dec 24th, Balakrishna’s Dada locked the same date. Bollywood’s Shah Rukh Khan’s film King is also on the same date, and now a Telugu producer is trying for the rights of this movie for Telugu states. Amidst these developments, Nagarjuna, who already has a good number of theatres in hand through the Annapurna distribution wing, is now signing agreements with some other exhibitors. That way, he wants to secure a huge number of movies for his landmark movie.

Considering the competition at the Telugu box office by that time, as the likes of Fauzi are arriving on December 3rd, surely there will be a severe theatre crunch. And the available theatres would also get cleared in 2-3 weeks, as Sankranthi releases like Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka and Anil Ravipudi’s January 12 Vidudala need them. That’s the reason Nagarjuna is keeping some solid theatres for his movie.
