For a long time, there have been rumours on and off that young director Vivek Athreya, who has made a name for some of his movies like Ante Sundaraniki and Saripodha Sanivaram, regardless of the commercial success of some of the films, will be directing a big superstar. That big star is none other than Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is celebrating his 66th birthday today. However, this combo is also put down as a rumour. So, what’s the fact?

Apparently, there was buzz earlier that Vivek narrated a story to Balakrishna, and the senior superstar liked it immensely. However, the makers wanted Mohan Lal to do a special role in the movie, and were waiting for his dates to take the film to the sets, as per some rumours. Whatever that may be, today, on the eve of Balakrishna’s birthday, Mythri Movie Makers’ Ravishankar and Vivek Athreya have gone to Balakrishna’s house and wished him. This one picture is now saying a thousand words that the film of this young director and the senior star is very much on the cards.

On the other hand, Balakrishna’s other directors like Gopichand Malineni also met him today and after #NBK111, there is a scope that Vivek Athreya’s movie #NBK112 might get rolled as per the buzz coming out.
