Akhanda 2 Eyes Christmas Premiere As Suggested By Netflix?

The much-awaited film Akhanda 2 was earlier planned to release on December 5, but the makers had to postpone it due to unexpected financial issues. The production team confirmed that the movie would not arrive in theatres this weekend. Right now, they are working on clearing the remaining payments and solving all pending matters.

According to industry sources, the next possible release date being discussed is December 25, which falls on Christmas. Streaming platform Netflix, which owns the digital rights of Akhanda 2 has also suggested that a Christmas release would be a strong option. The makers are now holding discussions with distributors, and an official decision is expected soon.

To avoid competition, the team of Akhanda 2 has already spoken with the makers of Roshan’s film Champion, requesting them to step out of the Christmas race. They agreed, and similar talks are going on with other teams as well. While most dues have already been settled, the final clearance with EROS International is still pending.

Akhanda 2 is directed by Boyapati Srinu, known for his powerful mass storytelling. Nandamuri Balakrishna returns in the film as an Aghora, and the project is produced by 14 Reels Plus. Fans are eagerly waiting for the new release announcement.

In a note shared with fans, the makers expressed their disappointment about missing the planned date. They explained that they tried their best to release the film on time, but some unavoidable issues stopped them. They also thanked Nandamuri Balakrishna and Boyapati Srinu for their support during this tough phase.
