Positive Response All Over For 'Baahubali' Animation Series!

India's biggest director SS Rajamouli, Graphic India and the Disney + Hotstar team have come together to make an animation series titled 'Baahubali – Crown Of Blood'. The trailer garnered the attention of everyone and the team had organised a press interaction session after screening the first two episodes for everyone. The full series will be made available on Disney + Hotstar from 17th May.

After watching the episodes, the reaction has been highly positive not just from the media but from Rajamouli as well. He appreciated the work and effort of creators. He claimed that Disney + Hotstar and Graphic India are great partners to collaborate with. The graphics and artwork is getting a good response from the media fraternity. He stated that it is great to see the world of 'Baahubali' expanding and reaching more people.

Answering the question of Baahubali's face resembling MS Dhoni, Rajamouli cheekily replied that the designer might have been the legendary cricketer's fan just like him. Also, he stated the importance of not talking about this series from a movie point-of-view when asked if it would create the same impact as the movie franchise did.

He talked about animation films getting the love of the public. He said that movies like Lion King, and Aladdin which came in the 80s and 90s were watched by people together and they used to cheer and clap for them. He added that the audience are there for animation films and it is the inability of us filmmakers to come up with quality animation movies. He claimed that the moment the connection happens between the audience and animation content, the floodgates will open. He said that the biggest show in Disney + Hotstar is 'Legend Of Hanuman' despite the wide variety of content they offer and it explains the love for animation in India. He hoped that 'Baahubali – Crown of Blood' would take it forward.

Rajamouli stated that he wants to make an animation film which has been his long-time dream. He stated that he is currently learning the necessary skills to make it happen one day. Whether it is 'Eega' that he made or whether it is associating with Hotstar, Rajamouli claimed that they taught him how animation and graphics work which will help him in the future.

He added that people in the film industry think that everything revolves around theatres as it is still a main source of entertainment but claimed that there are other forms through which people find entertainment. There are anime, novels, comic books, web series, video games and others. He stated that there are people who don't watch regular movies and only prefer anime. Rajamouli made it clear that they wanted to touch all sets of people in the spectrum through the world of 'Baahubali'.

With the positive response it got from the previewing the first two episodes, 'Baahubali – Crown Of Blood' is expected to be a whole new journey that gives the audience a unique experience and new storylines to marvel at.
