Rajamouli is the biggest commercial film director in Indian cinema at this moment, and he is currently working with superstar Mahesh Babu for his upcoming project Varanasi.

Rajamouli was a series of very interesting questions by Hollywood media journalist, and there was this one particular question about the usage of generative AI in the glimpse video of Varanasi.

This quickly initiated a big discussion as Rajamouli immediately clarified that no sort of AI was used for the generation of the glimpse video of the film. It was all done entirely on visual effects with every minute detail being monitored by Rajamouli himself.

While it is becoming increasingly common for big films to use generative AI in order to get the decide output in a simple manner, it is good to see Rajamouli use the VFX to the fullest capacity as this creates distinctive visuals.
