Rajamouli Says Only 10% Watch The Film In Theatres!

As we know, elite director SS Rajamouli attended the press meet of 'Baahubali – Crown Of Blood' animation series. He talked about the extension of 'Baahubali' world and the inception of this idea to create an animation series. When asked about the reason behind going for an animation series rather than making another 'Baahubali' movie for theatres, he gave an interesting answer.

He said that 'Baahubali' is one of the most popular films in the country and it was only watched by 10 crores of people. This means that not even 10% of the 120 crore population watched it in theatres. Though other people might have watched it through televisions or OTT platforms, he said that theatre-going audiences were only 1/10th of the entire population.

He added that people in the film industry think that everything revolves around theatres as it is still a main source of entertainment but claimed that there are other forms through which people find entertainment. There are anime, novels, comic books, web series, video games and others. He stated that there are people who don't watch regular movies and only prefer anime. Rajamouli made it clear that they wanted to touch all sets of people in the spectrum through the world of 'Baahubali'.

Right now, Rajamouli is working on the script and pre-production works of his upcoming globetrotting adventure drama with Mahesh Babu. KL Narayana is producing it and Keeravani will be the music composer. There are massive expectations on the film and everyone is waiting for an official update on this much-awaited flick.
