Sometimes creativity feels like a river ready to burst, and Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor is stepping into new territory. After more than 15 years in Bollywood, with films like Animal, Rockstar, and many more hits, from romance to action, he has killed all the roles he has announced plans to direct. In a recent Instagram live session, he shared that he started a writing workshop to explore ideas for future projects, showing his curiosity and willingness to learn in the direction department . Long before he became a household name, Ranbir Kapoor worked behind the scenes as an assistant director on Prem Granth, Aa Ab Laut Chalen, and Black.

Ranbir has always taken on varied roles and pushed his limits. From his debut in Saawariya in 2007 to becoming one of Bollywood’s most versatile actors, he has grown steadily with cult hits like Animal. Now, he joins actors like Farhan Akhtar, Ajay Devgn, Aamir Khan, and R. Madhavan, who have moved behind the camera. Fans are eager to see how his acting experience will influence his direction.

He did not reveal full details of his first project but said ideas from his workshop will guide the films he makes in the next two years. The workshop allows him to experiment and shape stories on his own terms. This suggests his directorial debut could blend creativity with the depth that has marked his acting career.

At the same time, Ranbir is preparing for Animal Park, the sequel to Animal, set to begin shooting in 2027. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, he called it “a very crazy film,” promising fans another high-energy performance. Balancing acting, writing, and directing, Ranbir is taking a bold step, showing that growth in Bollywood comes from exploring every aspect of filmmaking.
