When it comes to Trivikram’s upcoming film Adarsha Kutumbam, House No 47, aka “AK47”, it looks like everything is written in star composer Thaman’s favour. The buzz that sounded like a random rumour a few days ago has now turned real as the composer is officially on board, replacing Harshavardhan Rameshwar for the Venkatesh starrer.

The twist? Harshavardhan himself denied this just days back, and stated that he would be in Hyderabad within two days and would start composing for the film. However, finally Thaman shared a photo with Guruji Trivikram, and stated that on the eve of ‘Chitra Pournami’ other day, he started composing for the movie. That’s where it gets interesting. Because this isn’t a small behind-the-scenes shuffle. Music in a Trivikram film is almost another star, and changing a composer midway means something didn’t click, either creatively or commercially.

Bringing in Thaman clearly points to one thing. The team doesn’t want to take risks. They want a proven, safe, commercially strong album. Thaman delivers reach, recall, and repeat value when it comes to composing for bigger stars and for Trivikram as well. One Butta Bomma or one Kurchi madathapetti song is enough to bring the whole attention towards the film, and Thaman knows how to do it.

However, Arjun Reddy composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar has a completely different sound, and he would have brought something new to the movie. For a “family crime drama,” that texture could have actually added freshness. Now, with Thaman stepping in, there’s always the danger of the music slipping into a familiar zone. Going by Thaman’s recent works, it’s clear. So we have to see what happens.
