Tollywood senior heroes continue to prove their strong box office power. Even after many years in the industry, stars like Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna and Venkatesh still attract huge audiences. Their movies record massive collections on the very first day worldwide especially during festival releases like Sankranti.

At the top of the list is Chiranjeevi’s SyeRaa Narasimha Reddy which collected around ₹85 crore worldwide on Day 1. The film created huge hype and opened to packed theatres across India and overseas. Close behind is Chiranjeevi’s recent Sankranti release Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu which earned an impressive ₹84 crore on its first day.

Even films that did not perform well later still had strong openings. Chiranjeevi’s Acharya, which turned out to be a disaster managed to collect ₹52 crore on Day 1. This clearly shows his unmatched fan base.

From Balakrishna’s side, his Sankranti release Daaku Maharaaj collected ₹51.85 crore, while Veera Simha Reddy earned ₹50.10 crore on its opening day. His powerful mass image helped these films open big at the box office. Akhanda 2 also performed well with ₹48.85 crore on Day 1.

Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidi No. 150 collected ₹50.50 crore marking a strong return after a long gap. Another mass entertainer, Waltair Veerayya opened with ₹49.10 crore, proving that Chiranjeevi still dominates the box office.

Veteran star Venkatesh also made his mark with last year’s Sankranti release Sankranthiki Vasthunam which earned ₹40.05 crore on Day 1 worldwide. These numbers clearly show that Tollywood senior heroes still rule the box office.
