Will This Portion In Varanasi Be Difficult To Understand?

SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Varanasi is already creating huge curiosity among movie lovers. The film stars Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The movie is said to have time travel elements and will move between different periods and locations.

One interesting element in the film is a new fictional language. Reports say that the makers have created a special language for one of the time travel portions. A linguistic expert has also been involved in developing this language. The language will be connected to an important part of the story.

This idea reminds many movie lovers of Kiliki, the fictional language used for the Kalakeya warriors in Rajamouli’s Baahubali: The Beginning. Kiliki sounded very different from normal languages and became one of the interesting elements of the film.

However, there is one concern with the Varanasi language. If the dialogues and writing in this language are not easy to understand, will audiences face a problem?

In Baahubali, Kiliki was mostly used for a limited portion of the film. The audience could understand the main story even if they did not understand every word spoken in Kiliki. The unusual language actually added a different feel to the Kalakeya characters.

But Varanasi may be different. The new language is reportedly connected to one of the major time travel portions. The characters are expected to enter a cave where ancient writings are present on the walls. They have to understand the language and writings to discover important information connected to the story.

If this portion continues for a long time and the audience cannot understand what the characters are saying or reading, it could become difficult to follow the story. Viewers may start feeling disconnected from the film if important information is presented in a language that is completely unfamiliar.

At the same time, Rajamouli is known for explaining complicated ideas through simple stories. We have to wait and see how Rajamouli will manage this portion and will create wonders with this language also.
